High bay lights are lamps used in factories and mines. In addition to all kinds of lighting used in normal environments, high bay lights also include explosion-proof lights and anti-corrosion lights for special environments, as well as high bay lights for large high-rise buildings.

 General lighting

 General lighting is generally placed on the upper or side wall of the work site. Illuminating the entire working surface requires the use of high-power incandescent lamps, tungsten halogen lamps, high-intensity discharge lamps or a large number of fluorescent lamps. Of course, compared with energy-saving high-power LED high bay lights, most high bay lights fall into this category. General lighting lamps have higher requirements for light distribution, and the two light distribution methods of direct illumination and semi-direct illumination are widely used, especially the latter. The semi-direct light from the upper part shines on the ceiling, which increases the brightness of the ceiling and creates a more pleasant and bright environment.

 Local lighting 

The local illuminator is a kind of lamp that improves the illuminance of working parts. Its function can be to strengthen or supplement the lighting on the basis of general lighting, or it can be used as temporary lighting in some places that do not need lighting (such as equipment inspection and maintenance places). Most of their light distribution is not strictly defined. Local illuminators are usually installed around the work area, using incandescent lamps and halogen lamps with safety extra-low voltage (≤50V, AC rms) as light sources. There are (handheld) line lights, chandeliers, work desk lights, machine work lights, etc. In some high-rise buildings, spotlights are sometimes used for local lighting.

 According to the light source, high bay lights can be divided into traditional light source high bay lights (such as sodium lamp high bay lights, mercury lamp high bay lights, etc.) and LED high bay lights. Compared with traditional high bay lights, LED high bay lights have great advantages:

 1. LED high bay lights indicate high RA>75;

 2. LED industrial and mining lighting is more efficient and energy-saving. The LED high bay light equivalent to 100W can replace the traditional 250W traditional high bay light;

 3. Traditional light sources have the disadvantage of high lamp temperature, which can reach 200-300 degrees. LED itself is a cold light source, and the low temperature of the lamp is safer;

 4. LED high bay lights are constantly innovating. The latest fin-type radiator high bay lights have a more reasonable radiator design, which greatly reduces the weight of the high bay lights, reducing the overall weight of the 80W LED high bay lights to below 4KG, and can solve 80-300W LEDs.
